2 teaspoon olive oil
1 teaspoon chilli flakes
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon parsley (finely chopped)
1/2 teaspoon basil (finely chopped)
a pinch of salt
some water
1) Scrub and clean mussels.
2) Heat olive oil in large saucepan, fry garlic and chilli.
3) Add water, parsley, basil, lemon juice and salt, and stir the mixture.
4) Add mussels and bring to a boil.
5) Cook until mussels open.
6) Remove mussels from pan.
7) Bring pan liquid to a boil, cook uncovered until mixture thickens slightly.
8) Return mussels to pan, simmer until heated through.
Fried calamaries
1) Get the calamari, bodies cut into 1/3- to 1/2-inch-thick rings.
2) Coat the rings with plain flour.
3) Deep fry until crispy.
4) Transfer to a paper-towel lined plate to drain.
5) Pour a little bit of oil in a frying pan, bring to heat.
6) Add some garlic.
7) Put the rings back into the pan.
8) Sprinkle some salt, freshly ground black peppercorns.
9) Simmer until heated through.
10) Transfer to plate and sprinkle some chopped parsley.
